Aperol Spritz Recipe: Prosecco, Aperol, Soda

How to make a proper Aperol Spritz with the 3-2-1 ratio — Prosecco, Aperol, and soda — finished with a dehydrated orange wheel.

An Aperol Spritz is three parts Prosecco, two parts Aperol, and one splash of soda water, built over ice in a large wine glass and garnished with an orange wheel. It should be bittersweet, bubbly, and the colour of a Mediterranean sunset.

2 minutes 1 servingGarnish: Dehydrated orange

Ingredients

  • 90ml Prosecco
  • 60ml Aperol
  • 30ml soda water
  • 1 Batch & Peel dehydrated orange wheel
  • Plenty of ice

Method

  1. 1

Fill a large wine glass with ice — really fill it, this matters for dilution.

  2. 2

Pour the Prosecco in first to keep the bubbles.

  3. 3

Add the Aperol, then top with a splash of soda water.

  4. 4

Stir once, briefly, with a bar spoon.

  5. 5

Slide a dehydrated orange wheel into the glass and serve.
